Sony has announced plans to release a Gold PSP unit to the Japanese market. Combining the release with the launch of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd, the sequel to Japan's best selling PSP title, Sony and the game distributors Capcom will release the Mionster Hunter Portable 2nd Hunters Pack.
At a cost of around 27,300 yen (around $230 USD / £120 GBP), the
pack will include the Gold PSP-1000 CG PSP unit, a copy of the Monster
Hunter Portable 2nd UMD, an AC adapter, battery, soft case, strap,
alternative system skins and a cleaner resembling one of the items from
the game. The edition is strictly limited to 22,222 Hunter Packs,
although the 'Champagne Gold' PSP unit will be available as a
standalone purchase at a price of 20,790 yen (around $170 USD / £90
GBP).
