For PSP owners, the issue of region coding will likely be one which will require reintroducing due to the commonplace bypass of region coding for DVDs. Sony lived up to pre release promises and UMD games for the PSP do not feature any region coding. Games bought in the US, Japan or Europe will work regardless where the hardware was purchased. Sony were quick, and sensible to cite that language, system and quality assurance procedure issues meant that purchasing both hardware and software in native countries would provide the best experience. UMD Videos however, do not escape, and undoubtedly under pressure from the industry, Sony have implemented region coding on all UMD Video titles being sold. Sony UMD Region 0: Worldwide
