Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced it's key title lineup for Q2 2007 across the full range of PlayStation consoles.
Sony has made the announcement rather belatedly considering almost two thirds of April has already passed. No official release dates were available for any of the titles at the time of writing. See full article for a full list of PSP titles.

Another month and another firmware update for the Sony PSP. Sony Computer Entertainment has released version 3.4 of the PSP operating software. A glance at the change log reveals that although no significant features have been added, this release is geared towards running compatibility between the PSP and the PlayStation 3 console. |

Sony has lowered the suggested retail price of the PSP to $170 to help compete with competitors such as the Nintendo DS. Despite rumours of a price drop in the past, this $30 dollar drop is the first time there has been a price cut to the basic package.

Sony has released a new update to the PSP's firmware. PSP users who have been keeping abreast of previous firmware revisions may have noticed that 3.2 and any subsequent minor revisions have been skipped suggesting a more significant update.

The BBC News website has featured an article highlighting the PSP homebrew hacking scene. The piece centres on the flaw found in version 3.03 of the firmware which recently allowed the homebrew scene to open up the firmware to enable it to run homebrew applications or downgrade to previous firmware versions. |

Sony announced its 3rd quarter financial results yesterday, with disappointing results across the gaming sectors. A growth in profits was seen overall, attributable to the success of the Bravia and Cybershot brands for televisions and digital cameras respectively. |

Bloomberg has reported that Sony Pictures Entertainment plans to include portable versions of movies released on the Blu-ray DVD format. Once purchased, the portable versions could be transferred to laptops and other portable devices. |
